Happy New Year!

Happy New Year and a special welcome to my lovely new followers.  Its been a very busy time for us with our eldest son and daughter-in-law's 10th wedding anniversary, my Mum's 90th birthday as well as Christmas and New Year to celebrate.  We all had a great time and it was really good to get together with my sister's family who are also quite scattered around now.  Mum had a wonderful time but DID NOT WANT TO BE 90!  She made that quite clear and asked us not to give her cards with the dreaded number on them so this was my effort.  She did like the vintage look of it.

I also got a beautiful gift from a dear friend who broke her leg very badly in August and who needed a little extra help which I was very happy to give.  It will take 12 months for her to get back to full strength so there's still a way to go but she is progressing well and we are planning lots of outings now she can bend her leg a little and actually get into the car!  Anyway, I used my new Dylusions sprays to make her a thank you card - a bit scary when they come out of the bottle but I really like the result.

Hope everyone had a great holiday and thank you for stopping by.

  1. You have had some celebrations going on. YOur mom is funny. Sounds like mine. Mine will be 86 this year.....but she does not think of herself as old.
Beautiful card. Have you recovered from the holidays. I think I have been a little sad now that they are over.

  2. Both your cards are beautiful. Your Mum's card is exquisite in it's own the cake on it.
