Less is More challenge - Sewing theme

Eek!  I almost passed on this one (Less is More - Theme Sewing) as sewing and me just don't get along.  I can crochet and knit but ask me to sew and I break out in a sweat - ridiculous I know.  So I had to have a go and I actually stitched these five faux buttons onto the stamped card and (drum roll here!) hand stitched the line across the card.  I swear there are a couple of drops of blood on there from where I stabbed myself several times but what the heck, it matches in with the colour scheme.  Thanks to Chrissie and Mandi for getting me outside my comfort zone yet again!

  1. What a great stamp and I love the sewn on buttons. A fab card. x

  2. Hola Margie, what perfec card for this challenge, the stamp is fantastic with the buttons, i love you embossing background border and the ribbon, beautiful colour, well done!!!

  5. Had to smile when you say you hand sewed on faux buttons!!! very elegant card! Hope you didn't lose too much blood and let's us non-sewers be happy with whatever strictly paper-based challenge we are given next Saturday!!!

  6. Yep...definately a blood, sweat and tears challenge this week but you`ve pulled it off beautifully, well done.

Thanks for your comment on my post the other day, you made me chuckle about adding things to the list, just so you can cross them off - I totally do that as well!!
