Life's a Stitch

Not much time for crafting today as it was such a glorious day we took off to the nearby bluebell woods with the dogs and we weren't disappointed.  The perfume of the gorgeous carpet of flowers bathed in the sunshine was so strong and there were still plenty of primroses around too.

Here's a card I made for a crafty friend's birthday though - copied from one I received for my own birthday but I didn't get it quite right.  Not to worry, I still think it looks OK and I really liked the effect of the Rose Quartz Treasure Gold rubbed onto my new Haberdashery die cuts.  It really looks like metal.

The paper is of course, Tim Holtz and the little card of darning thread was picked up at a recent vintage fabrics sale.  I love cards that have a bit of movement like this and will have to have another go at getting the measurements exactly right.

Hope you've all had a beautiful day too - long may it last.  Thanks for popping in to see me.

  1. That card is amazing. It was beautiful here as well. A little on the cool side but that's okay by me. Have a good week.

  2. Hi Margie, I think your card is fabulous, you did an amazing job cutting that design out! The sewing theme is wonderful, I love all the elements you added to those gorgeous Tim papers. The dress form and scissors look great. I bet your crafty friend will love this card - a lot. The bluebells are gorgeous this year aren't they, Mother Nature has been good to us this year. Hugs, Anne x

This is fabulous. A favourite theme of mine and you executed this so brilliantly with the spot on composition and the details such as the card of darning thread.
    An absolute delight!
