I made this bag following Sara's pattern here: http://www.tangledhappy.com/2010/11/granny-stripe-boutique-bag.html Really like how its turned out and I'm sending it to a good friend of mine for her granddaughter. It only took me a couple of hours to make too. Busy making a crochet scarf now for a friend's birthday so not much papercrafting getting done!
Sara has some lovely patterns on her blog so if you're into crochet, its certainly worth a look.
What a fantastic creation! I'm sure it will go down a treat.
ReplyDeleteOh what a pretty bag.....now I want to try my hand at one!
ReplyDeleteThis bag is so romantic and seriously utterly gorgeous. This bag is so stunning that I would love to have it made just big enough to slide a little kindle into and that would be the perfect style bag for it. Thank you for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI have so many hobbies that often I don't know what to do first. I'm busy making some quilted felt animal cell phone covers for my kids new Tracfone LG800G smart phones as I don't want to get their touchscreens scratched. Must say I only pay $6/month for 40 minutes talk time for each kid, which is a bargain.
I use double felt with stuffing in between the 2 pieces of felt and use blanket stitch to sew around the edges. The features and limbs of the animal I also sew by hand and this little project is so easy that the kids can have fun making this over a weekend.
Owls, penguins, foxes fishes and ducks are not difficult to make and look too cute.
Thanks for your lovely comments Lynette! Your felt animal phone covers sound really sweet and I bet your kids love them.
DeleteIt's so pretty! And I love the leaves. Thanks so much for sharing the link with me. I love seeing finished projects. ♥
ReplyDeleteOh... And thanks for sharing the link!
ReplyDeleteIt's fabulous Margie. I wish I could crochet, I will get 'round to learning one day! :)xx
ReplyDeleteCute project. I love to crochet....but sadly I have only enough attention span for scarves lol. I think that flower would make an awesome pin if you liked to wear them on your coat or hats...even on a tank top????
