House-icle

Had so much fun making this for an internet swap - don't really want to part with it so guess I'll have to make another one.  The little girl image and the words are from Paper Whimsy here http://www.paperwhimsy.com/ and the original idea came from Nancy Maxwell James, a very talented lady who always inspires me.  Here's the link for her beautiful blog  http://sugarlumpstudios.com/

Thanks so much for looking.

Book mark

This is a gift made for a mystery swap I joined for the New Year.  I wish I could remember the blog I saw it on but its lost in the mists of my blog hopping.  I was very grateful anyway to the person who inspired me to give it a go and thought it turned out quite well.  Hoping the recipient likes it.  Thanks for looking.

I'm working on a house-icle (house on a lolly stick) at the minute and will post a pic or two when its finished.  Lots of fun and great to get away from Christmas theme at last!

Altered matchbox

A matchbox full of crafting goodies made for a buddy at Christmas.  Really enjoyed making this and finding lots of little things to pop inside it.  Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and lots of crafting time in 2012.

Gift bag and altered mints tin

Another picture for you of a gift bag I made from the instructions provided by a very talented lady here: http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2008/03/purse-templates-galore-little-handbag.html     Mel has loads of templates, tutorials and helpful hints which I take advantage of often.  The altered mints tin inside the bag holds an assortment of crafty bits for a very good friend of mine to thank her for all her help in 2011.  Hope she likes it!

My 2011 Christmas card

Thought I would post a pic of my Christmas card for this year.  I can't stop making these lovely little trees - they are addictive.  I had a group of friends round the other night and we all made these - in between nibbles and the odd glass of wine.  No wonder a few of them went a bit wobbly!

A card for a patchwork quilter

This is a card I made for a lady who'd been given an award for her beautiful quilting work.  The little paper quilt in the centre was fun to make and I hope she likes the little sewing charms I attached.

Thanks for looking.

Another of those fabulous paper pieced dresses

This is another dress inspired by Julie Nutting's fabulous book "Collage Couture" - I can't get enough of them.  My favourite is the Vogue dress which I had a go at here:
The background doesn't show it off too well but I still love her.  Thanks for looking.
