This was a great challenge for me as I have a HUGE pile of scrap pieces I just can't bear to part with! The real challenge was to actually use them rather than reaching for a new sheet of paper! I needed to make a card for a male friend so this is it and I'm quite pleased with the way it turned out. The stamp is Tim Holtz.
Looking forward to seeing all the other entries and thanks so much for all the great comments from everyone who visits me. I do appreciate them.

Less is More Challenge - Die Cuts or Punches
This card is my submission for this week's challenge. The die cut is the gorgeous Memory Box Catalina Wreath which I really like and the bird and butterfly are both punches. I chose a lilac background to show off the wreath in all its glory!
Thanks for stopping by and I really appreciate your comments too!

My first fabric flower using Polly's great tutorial
I was delighted that Polly responded to my plea and posted such great instructions on how to make her beautiful flowers. Couldn't wait to break out the material stash and have a go and this is the result. Had to use a brad in the centre as I couldn't find a nice bling button but I'll be on the lookout for some of those - or some broken jewellery. But I think it looks great on this little gift box. Here's Polly's tutorial if you fancy having a go - really easy (when you know how!)

Thanks again Polly - you're a star!

Less is More One-Layer Challenge card
Here's my entry for this week's challenge. Out of my comfort zone again but I enjoyed experimenting with different inks on the branch and the butterflies. The embossed stripes look OK but I was itching to put something between them like ribbon or lace. Looking forward to seeing everyone else's take on this challenge - its such great inspiration.
Just noticed the dust on that glass shelf! Oops - better get the duster out before anybody else spots it - oh, too late!

Less is More Challenge: Aqua
Took me a long time to find some ink to use for this challenge. Ended up using one called Turquoise but it looks like Aqua to me! The coloured paper was kindly provided for free by the very clever MelStampz here http://melstampz.blogspot.com/2012/02/vintage-vine-papers-overlay-free.html
The stamps are from the Crafty Secrets "Greetings from Wonderland" and an old Basic Grey set I managed to grab in a sale for 99p!
Been baking banana and walnut muffins tonight and the smell is just gorgeous - not good for the diet though. Thanks for stopping by.

Corset easel card for a friend
This is a different style of easel card with a front section cut along the shape of the corset - I love that stamp! It gives 6 sides to decorate so great fun to make and hopefully my friend will enjoy it. Sorry the pics are a bit shadowy - in a bit of a rush to get them taken before I had to post it! Thanks for visiting.
